Puerto Vallarta fishing report August 2019
It is officially Billfish season here in Puerto Vallarta and the offshore bite is exploding with
Sailfish, Blue Marlin, and also a few big Black Marlin as well.  The hot spots for Billfish has
been La Cortetena and el Banco and also just in open water offshore.  The Sailfish being
caught have an average size 40- 100 lbs. The Black Marlin average size has been 300-500
lbs. and the Blue Marlin average size is 200-400 lbs.  The Yellowfin Tuna bite has moved
past the 3rd Island around 120 miles offshore and has been boiling with Yellowfin Tuna
over 100 lbs.  Puerto Vallarta will host the 64th Annual Marlin and Sailfish Tournament this
year November 13-16 We have 2 boats still available the My Marlin with Captain Steve
