Puerto Vallarta fishing report July 2018
The offshore fishing grounds are heating up with Billfish.  We have been
catching Blue and Black Marlin and Sailfish close to Corbetena along with 2 of
the best eating fish Dorado and Yellowfin Tuna. The Tuna and the Dorado are
only averaging 10-25 lbs but its still always great to find any sized Tuna on a
day trip without going 100 + miles offshore. There has also been a few small
Mahi/ Dorado biting off the point of Punta de MIta. Inside Banderas bay We
have been catching Jack Crevalle, Skip Jacks, small Dorado, Spanish Mackerel
and even a few small Roosterfish. The 12th Annual Tuna and Marlin Tournament
will be held this month starting on the 26th.  Last year 1st place Tuna was 223
lbs and 1st place Marlin was 235 lbs. The Biga Tuna are still biting close to the
Islands and there has been a few 300 + lb Tuna caught in past weeks and big
Black Marlin at Corbetena it looks like it is going to be a great fishing
Tournament.  For more info about
