Puerto Vallarta fishing report April 2018 With the weather changing along with the tides we have seen the fish move all over the place the last couple weeks the type of fish has stayed consistent with my last fishing report Sailfish, Striped Marlin, Jack Crevalle, with a few days where we found Dorado as well. But it was day to day where we found the fish one day the best bite was down the north coast close to Sayulita we caught alot of Sailfish, and Striped Marlin the next day closer to the point of Punta de Mita. A few days this month we even found Sailfish and Striped Marlin inside the bay which rarely happens and did not last long it seemed 2 days later inside Banderas bay was completely empty and you needed to get out close to La Corbetena to find any clean water. But it was still great to see Billfish inside the bay. This is the time of season where you really need to trust your captain and might need to stay out longer then planned in order to find the fish and have a successful charter. The big Blue and Black Marlin fishing season is right around the corner but for now we are happy that the Striped Marlin and Sailfish have been plentiful and it looks like we will be able to catch Billfish through out the whole year. The big Yellowfin Tuna bite has stayed consistent past the 3rd island which is about 110 miles offshore from the Marina Vallarta the first cow over 300 lbs was reported last week caught by San Juanito Island and the average size has been 80-200 lbs. Check ot more about our overnight Tuna fishing charters. Like I said before inside the Bay has been off and on but even on slow 4 and 6 hr days our captains have normally still been able to catch Jack crevalle, Spanish Mackerel, and Bonitas for more info about Puerto Vallarta fishing please email us direct at info@puertovallartafish.com |
